The City Council of the City of Colton ("the City") finds, <br />I j determines and declares: <br />A. On February 24, 1997, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 0-02- <br />97 regulating adult uses and repealing and replacing certain sections of the Colton <br />Municipal Code regulating adult uses. <br />E. As a result of a clerical error, Section 3 of Ordinance No. 0-02-97 <br />inadvertently provided that "Chapter 18.48 is hereby repealed in its entirety and a <br />new Chapter 18.49 is hereby added to the Colton Municipal Code....", rather <br />than "Section 18.48.010 of Chapter 18.48 is hereby repealed in its entirety.... " <br />It was, and is, the intent of the City Council to repeal only section 18.48.010 of <br />Chapter 18.48, in conjunction with other provisions also pertaining to adult <br />businesses as specified in Section 4 of Ordinance No. 0-02-97, and not to repeal <br />sections 18.48.020 through 18.48.090, pertaining to amusement arcades, <br />automobile service stations, condominiums, community apartments and stock <br />cooperatives, fortunetelling, mobilehomes and office units, metal buildings, and <br />satellite dish antennas. <br />1 <br />
