In fact, workshop <br />participants are advised not to engage in such discussions. The sessions <br />emphasize team -building issues which are of general interest to city <br />officials. <br />Unlike other League conferences, the format of the session isnot conducive <br />to participating by spouses or guests of participants. Spouse or guest <br />attendance is therefore discouraged. <br />The minimum number of participants from each city is three (two elected <br />officials and the city manager). Cities participating in the past have found it <br />best to have the full council participate. <br />The workshop site was selected for its appropriateness to the format of the <br />sessions. The site offers a quietsettingperfect for concentrating on team - <br />building skills. Because of the nature of the sessions, all who register must <br />commit to arrive on time and stay for the entire session. <br />YThis workshop is worth 4 credits in the Elected Officials Leadership <br />Academy. <br />Be sure to register early because space is limited.
