City Council Meeting of November 18, 1997
Reprogramming of CDBG Funds
Page 2
Public Works has indicated that with the additional funds, and by combining
other CDBG funded street improvement projects for solicitation of bids, the City
may receive lower bids for construction of the improvements. Staff concurs with
the Public Works Department and is in support of this request.
ALTERNATIVES:
Deny the use of CDBG funds for this project, and -request the Public Works
Department to seek other sources of funding for improvements to the east side
of Pennsylvania Avenue.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There is no financial impact to the city general fund. Eligible CDBG costs are
reimbursed 100%. There are sufficient funds in the Contingency Account to
support this request. /
Development Director
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Council approve the reprogramming of $44,855 of
CDBG funds from the Colton Contingency Account to the activity, "Street
Improvements -Pennsylvania, from Mill to Johnston"; authorize the Finance
Director to adjust the City Budget accordingly; and adopt the attached
Resolution Number approving the requested reprogramming action.
DRZ:ALS
Attachments
