La Cadena Drive <br />Colton, California 92324 <br />Dear Mayor Gaytan and Members of the City Council: <br />In accord with the Settlement and Release Agreement executed this evening by <br />the City and by me, I herehj resign as City Attorney for the City of Colton on the terms and <br />conditions set forth therein. It has been my privilege to serve the people of Colton as legal <br />counsel for over eight years, and resignation from my position is a difficult decision. I believe, <br />however, that it is in the best interests of the City of Colton for me to take this action at the <br />present time. <br />I wish the City of Colton well in its future endeavors, and I will be pleased to <br />assist to the extent necessary as the Legal Affairs Manager with the transition to contract legal <br />counsel as provided in our Agreement. <br />Yours truly, <br />
