3. Maintenance of the Interconnection. , TheCityshall maintain the Interconnection with respect to the meter and lateral and perform periodic testing of the water meter. Each party will perform or arrange for all necessary maintenance of that portion of the Interconnection which it owns. 4. Delivery of Water. A. The parties hereto will endeavor to supply only such water at such pressure as may be available from time to time from the operation of their respective water systems. B. The gate valve on District's side of the Interconnection normally will be closed. Water will be delivered through the Interconnection upon request of the City. Notice is to be given to District's Assistant General Manager or Superintendent, as the case may be, of the desired date, time, and expected duration of water deliveries. City will operate its gate valve to initiate and terminate deliveries. Delivery of water pursuant to this Agreement maybe Limited, curtailed, or terminated if the supplying party, in its sole judgment, determines that conditions within its water system warrant such limitation, curtailment, or termination. C. Water delivered pursuant to this Agreement shall be measured and recorded at the Interconnection by an 8" water meter with the capability of measuring flow up to a maximum of one thousand two hundred (1,200) gallons per minute within ±5% accuracy. 5. ' Accounting for Water Delivered The water meter will be read by District at the end of each week when the Interconnection is being used and reported to the City on a monthly basis. District will invoice the City at or on the first of each month and the City shall pay to the District for water taken at a cost of 50¢ per 100 C.F. The cost of water will be reviewed annually and if adjustments are necessary, the District will notify the City in writing ninety (90) days prior to any increases. 2
