INTERCONNECTION AGREEMENT <br />This Interconnection Agreement ("Agreement") is made as of <br />by and between the West San Bernardino County Water District ("District") and City of <br />Colton ("City'). <br />RECITALS <br />A. It is to the mutual advantage of District and City to install and maintain a <br />metered interconnection, consisting of a water meter and appurtenant facilities, between <br />their respective water systems as shown in Exhibit "A" hereto (the "Interconnection") for <br />the exchange of water; and <br />B. District and City understand that this Interconnection is for emergency <br />purposes, and <br />C. District and City have authorized the installation and use of the <br />Interconnection as set forth herein. <br />In consideration of the premises, mutual covenants, promises, and conditions herein <br />contained and for other good valuable, and adequate consideration, the parties hereto <br />agree as follows: <br />1. Installation of Interconnection. <br />The Interconnection is to be located at the intersection of Valley Blvd. and Pepper Avenue <br />in the City of Colton as shown in Exhibit "A". <br />A. District and City will cooperate in the installation of the Interconnection. <br />District shall pay for the cost of the 8" connection on District facilities which <br />consists of an 8" hot tap and 8" valve. <br />B. The City shall pay for connection to their facilities which include an 8" meter <br />and appurtenances as well as an 8" lateral across Pepper Avenue to <br />connect to District's 8" connection. <br />2. Ownership of the Interconnection <br />City will own and maintain the water meter, utility vault, the 8" lateral. across Pepper <br />Avenue and all other facilities on its side of the Interconnection as shown in Exhibit "A". <br />1 <br />
