In response to your call today, I support and recommend the following findings that justify closing ingress and egress to Cantera Street at Sart Bernardino Avenue which will benef t and improve public safety on Scar Bern ardino.Avenue: I. .Sy elimin ating ingress and egress to Sart Bernardino A venue from Cantera Street, the number of turning movements on San Bernardino Avenue will be redaiced and therefore improve traffic safety. 2. By eliminating ingress and egress to San Bernardino Avenue frons Camera Sireet, congestion on San Bernardino Avenue wall be reduced which will improve public health and safer,. The above findings seern essential to me for closing access to and from Camera Street at +Scan Bernardino Avvnrre which is also mi pported by a petition of Camera residents. The Craffrc Scrfety Cotnmittee. had other recommendations, if closure occuttvd, such as 1.) removal of the curb returns and pavement. 2.) extension of the curb and grater, and landscaping along the northerly parkway of Sart Bernardino Avenue where pavement was removed. 3.) a Barrier and "9 point " signs at south end of Contera Street and 4.) signage on Cantera Street to alert southbound traffic that Camera is now a dead erad street, These details were reported in the Traffic Safety Committee Minwes and forwarded, I believe, bye Committee Chairman Baden.
