r <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />CONIIVIUNITY CHILD CART TEACHER'S HELPER <br />DESCRIPTION - <br />Under supervision, assist in the daily operation of an extended da child <br />age children. at selected element y care program for school- <br />age schools in the Colton Joint Unified School District. <br />EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: May include, but are not limited to <br />the following: <br />Assist with the recreational activities of school-age <br />children Participating in the City's child care <br />Lead recreational activities such as, arts and crafts, sports,ames <br />g and special events. <br />Assist children participating in the City's child care program with homework ork assignments, as <br />Act as a tutor to children having difficulty learning in school curriculum. <br />Greet parents/guardians upon their arrival at the child care facility. <br />Assist in the maintenance of a clean and orderly environment. <br />Perform assigned tasks in an efficient and safe manner. <br />Interact with parents/guardians on a daily basis. <br />Be actively involved in the activities of program participants. <br />Be a role model for and provide leadership to program participants. <br />Be culturally sensitive to the needs and interests of families. <br />Attend parent/staff in-service meetings as required. <br />Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the e course of <br />Perform other related duties as required. <br />
