City of Colton <br />Agenda Report <br />October 6, 1998 <br />Page 2 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the approval of Resolution NO. R , expressing the following <br />(1) The City does not desire to extend the term of Jack's Permit beyond June 30, 2000. <br />(2) That the City Council direct the City Manager and the City Attomey to take all <br />necessary steps and actions to terminate the terms of Jack's Permit so that the <br />effective date of termination is no later than June 30, 2000. Upon receiving that <br />direction, (October 7, 1998) the City Manager will send Jack's a letter reiterating the <br />City's desire to terminate Jack's Permit effective June 30, 2000. Furthermore, the City <br />Manager will follow-up by sending Jack's a final termination letter during the 60 -day <br />notice period (sixty days prior to June 30, 1999). <br />Additionally, staff recommends that the City Council amend the Agreement between <br />the City of Colton and Taormina Industries, Section 4.01(b) to include the language <br />specified in Attachment II of this report. <br />Attachments <br />
