Ragels, Supervising Building Inspector <br />Wanda Molton, Administrative Secretary <br />Dean Derleth, Legal Counsel <br />ITEM D - APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 23. 1999 <br />Vice -Chairperson Vilches moved approval of the minutes; seconded by Commissioner Chavez, <br />motion carried with Chairperson Oliva and Commissioner Suchil abstaining. <br />ITEM E - ORAL COMMUNICATION <br />None. <br />ITEM F —COMMISSION UPDATE <br />1. FILE INDEX NUMBER: D-54-98 OLYMPIA GRILL & LOUNGE <br />(BILLY T'S) <br />Mr. Zamora discussed the concerns the Planning Commission expressed at the February 9, <br />1999 meeting and what actions had been taken to address them. He stated that the five <br />concerns were parking, security, financial impact, occupancy limits, and the design review and <br />building permit process. Mr. Zamora indicated that the applicant has satisfied all the <br />requirements that the City had expressed. He stated that the Dance Permit was a separate <br />issue that would be addressed independently by the City Council. <br />Mr. Zamora stated that inadequate parking was an issue and that the applicant had obtained <br />reciprocal parking agreements to acquire the additional parking required. He indicated that <br />the applicant had met with the Police Department to discuss security concerns and that the <br />applicant had agreed to the Police Department's requirements. Mr. Zamora stated, in regards <br />to the fiscal impact, the City had put together an agreement for reimbursement if the Police <br />Department and/or Fire Department need to respond to incur any extraordinary cost. He <br />indicated that the Fire Department had met with the applicant regarding the occupancy limits <br />and that it had been agreed upon by the applicant. Mr. Zamora stated that the applicant had <br />applied for Design Review and had obtained the necessary permits for the work that had been <br />done. He stated that the applicant had also worked out a schedule with the Utilities <br />Department. <br />
