R-79-99 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON CHANGING THE JOB FAMILIES <br />OF ONE (1) EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />THE SALARY RANGE ON NINE (9) OTHER <br />CLASSIFICATIONS <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has given full consideration to the results of meetings between <br />representatives of the City of Colton and representatives of the San Bernardino Public Employees Association <br />held pursuant to Government Code section 3500 et. Seq.; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to implement the results of said meetings by amending the <br />agreement executed in September 1998 between the SBPEA and the City of Colton. <br />BE IT NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: The salary range of the classification of Water Utilities Manager shall be increased to the <br />same salary range as Wastewater Utilities Manager. <br />SECTION 2: The classification of Water Quality Specialist shall be moved from the Maintenance <br />Worker II "job family" to the Building Inspector "job family". <br />SECTION 3: The positions of Revenue Manager, Sr. Energy Services Specialist, and Energy Services <br />Specialist shall be added to the Electrical Systems Engineer "job family". <br />SECTION 4: Add the positions of Water Utility Operator II to the Maintenance Worker II "job <br />family". <br />SECTION 5: Move the Lead Water Utility Operator to the Maintenance Worker II "job family". <br />SECTION 6: The salary ranges of the eight (8) classifications in the Electrical Systems Engineer "job <br />family" shall be increased by one percent (1%) and shall receive fifty percent (50%) of the balance due <br />of the compensation study adjustments on or about August 17, 1999 and shall receive the remaining fifty <br />percent (50%) of said balance on or about November 1, 1999. <br />SECTION 7: The provisions of this Resolution shall be effective as of August 17, 1999. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17`s day of August, 1999. <br />ATTEST: <br />Carolina P.
