City of Cotton <br />Agenda Report <br />Council Meeting of August 17,1999 <br />Page 2 <br />will be a dry system up to the point in time when the County of San Bernardino is able to <br />complete the improvements to the detention basin and construct the out -fall. County <br />representatives expect that to occur during the latter part of this year. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The total cost of this project is estimated to be $475,919. The funding level established <br />for this project on April 6, 1999 (as a result of the original engineer's estimate) was <br />$494,218. Thus the estimated cost for this project is $18,299 (or 4%) less that the <br />funding level originally established for this project. Funding for this project in the amount <br />of $475,919 is available in the CFD 89-2 Construction Fun ccount #734-7500-7506- <br />3890. <br />Daryl J. Parrish, Assistant City Manager <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council award a construction contract for the Randall <br />Avenue Storm Drain Project to C.P. Construction Company in the amount of $372,235. <br />Additionally, staff recommends that the City Council establish the official funding level for <br />this project at $475,919 to include contingencies, engineering, administration and <br />inspection. <br />Attachments <br />
