The City of Colton would have ultimate control of shelter locations through the permit
process.
11, For the purpose of this agreement passenger amenities are defined as, but not limited to
shelters, benches and trash receptacles.
Allowing Oninitrans to administer this program places it in the hands of the agency best suited to
administer the program. Omnitrans staff will be in the field daily to monitor compliance.
Revenue generated from the program will be used to implement additional passenger amenity
improvements in the participating cities.
On-mitrans is asking upon the implementation of the PAP, that the city serve notice upon the
current provider of advertising benches that they have 30 days to remove their property from the
public right-of-way.
in order to proceed with this proposal, Onmitrans needs authorization from the City of Colton to
act on its behalf to exclusively manage all passenger amenities located in the public right-of-way
in the city. We are requesting this approval from all cities participating in this plan.
Onmitrans' appreciates the role that Colton staff took in helping us address some of the concerns
with the current prograin We look forward to the participation of the City of Colton in this
exciting and comprehensive improvement to our service area.
Sincerely,
Patrick Merrick
Stops and Stations Supervisor
C: Durand Rall, General Manager
Wendy Williams, Director of Marketing
