City of Colton Agenda Report Council Meeting of January 5, 1999 Page 2 ➢ To clarify the language regarding Colton's reimbursement to the County to ascertain that Colton is required to repay the County only for those portions of the project that would normally be funded by development fees collected by the City of Colton. ➢ A portion of the funding provided by County (currently $1,900,000) would immediately be encumbered to begin additional pre -design, design, environmental, and right of way acquisition work to get this project moving forward. Additionally, staff anticipates the need to come back before the City Council upon the County Board of Supervisors approval of the amendment to the MOU to request extensions to two existing contracts to include work on Phase 11 of the 3-5 Storm Drain Project. FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact as a result of this action. Upon the County Board of Supervisor's approval of the amendment to MOU there will be subsequent actions brought before the City Council that may have significant fiscal impacts. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Council approves the amendment of Section 2.13 of the Memorandum of Understanding between the County of San Bernardino and the City of Colton for the Construction of Traffic Mitigation and Infrastructure Improvements related to the Medical Center Project. Upon approval this amendment will be forwarded to County Board of Supervisors for consideration. Attachments
