REVENUE MANAGER <br />DEFINITION <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />Under the general supervision of the Utility Director, performs a variety of complex professional <br />duties in customer service and utility finance; plans, directs and reviews the areas of customer <br />service, accounting, budgeting, accounts receivable/payable, utility billing, purchasing and data <br />processing; exercises direct supervision of technical and clerical staff. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: <br />Assist in the development and implementation of goals and objectives, policies and priorities for <br />all the Utility Divisions. <br />Manage the operations of the Customer Service Division. <br />Conduct surveys of customers and employees relating to the quality of customer service. <br />Prepare legislation for the improvement of customer service policy. <br />Assist in the preparation of all the Utility Divisions' budgets. <br />Assist in the review, evaluate and recommend data processing improvements to the Utilities' <br />administrative financial internal control and data processing systems and procedures. <br />Prepare financial and administrative reports and resolutions. <br />Prepare various qualitative and quantitative financial analyses. <br />Maintain debt service records for the Utilities. <br />Provide financial support and assistance to Utility Division heads and supervisors. <br />May participate in meetings before citizens, elected officials, committees and boards on financial <br />and administrative matters of the Utilities. <br />Approve accounts payable, in compliance with budget approved appropriations; examines and <br />verifies all financial documents and makes adjustments as well as closing entries. <br />Prepare cost analysis of employee wage and benefit packages for labor negotiations. <br />Prepare and conduct performance evaluations of assigned staff. <br />Manage and coordinate the Utilities' financial information and financial data processing system. <br />Coordinate and administer internal/exterrial audits. <br />
