1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />lll <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />1'7 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />RESOLUTION NO R-34 -99 <br />PERSONNEL SYSTEM RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE CITY OF <br />COLTON <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Colton, Califomia that Resolution No. <br />2240 and sections of Ordinance 1122 pertaining to the Personnel System Rules and Regulations are <br />hereby consolidated and aznended as follows and shall be effective as of June 15, 1999. <br />RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Colton does hereby adopt the following <br />rules: <br />RULE I- DEFINITION OF TERMS <br />(As amended by Resolution No. 3344) <br />The following terms, whenever used in these niles, shall be consaued as follows: <br />SECT'ION 1: ADVANCEMENT A salary increase of one or more steps within the limits of the pay <br />range established for a class. <br />SECTION 2: ALLOCAITON The assignment of a single posiUon to its proper class in accordance <br />wit6 the dnties perfoimed, and the authority and responsibilities exercised. <br />SECTION 3: APPOIN'1'MENT The designation of a peison by due authority to become an <br />employee in a position and the signing of the proper foims to properly record tt�at desigoaflon and the <br />acc�tance by the person of the position and conditions included as provided in these niles and the State <br />law. (Added by Resolution No. 2274) <br />SECITON 4: BOARD The Civil Service Board established in pursuance of the ordinance creating <br />a peisonnel system for the City. <br />1 <br />
