The City Council hereby designates the SANBAG to serve as the lead agency for <br />the purpose of preparing a long-range Regional Airport Plan for Southern California as set <br />forth in the joint resolution of SANBAG. <br />Section 3. The City Council hereby requests SCAG reaffirms its policy to encourage the <br />development of aviation facilities in areas experiencing growth in demand, and <br />Section <br />4. The City Council hereby support the <br />efforts of the cities <br />and counties of <br />Southern <br />California, working through the Southern <br />California Association <br />of Governments <br />and its Aviation Task Force, in the preparation of a long-range Regional Airport Plan for <br />Southern California that includes one or more fully -developed alternatives that distribute the <br />2 <br />
