City of Colton
Agenda Report
Council Meeting of May 4, 1999
Page 2
Staff concurs with regards to the three safety recommendations specified by the Parks
and Recreation Commission with the following comments. We need to evaluate the
cost and logistical issues associated with placing cameras at West Valley Park. Staff
will proceed with that evaluation. With regards to the development of future phases of
improvements at West Valley Park, we would solicit the Commission's input prior to
proposing any specific future improvements to the site. Additionally, there is currently
no funding appropriated for West Valley Park other than the $100,000 from the County
of San Bernardino. We concur that initially the Park should only be open during daylight
hours.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding in the amount of $100,000 is
County Medical Center) for West Valley
3890_
RECOMMENDATION:
available in the Capital Projects Budget (SB
Park Improvements Fund # 754-6850-6865-
t
()A2
Daryl J.
