City of Colton <br />Agenda Report <br />Council Meeting of March 21, 2000 <br />Page 2 <br />The agreement shall be effective from February 15, 2000 through approximately May <br />31, 2000 with regards to the District using the pool. With regards to the District <br />providing offsets for up to 50% of the heating costs for the pool, the agreement will be <br />effective through December 31, 2000 (as stated above). <br />District shall maintain liability insurance with the City named as additionally insured prior <br />to the commencement of activities. <br />The agreement may be extended by mutual consent of both parties. <br />Non -substantive changes to this agreement may be made by mutual consent of the <br />City Manager and the District Superintendent with the consent of legal counsel for the <br />City and the District. <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />The City council has the option not to approve the Joint Use Agreement. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />None <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The estimated cost to heat the pool from February 15, 2000 to May 31, 2000, is <br />approximately $3,000. The District will pay up to fifty percent (50%) of the heating <br />costs of the pool by providing offsets as explained above. Estimated General Fund <br />impact of this agreement not including the aforementioned offsetting costs is $3,000. <br />Funding will be made available from Account #100-6200-6203-2320 Aquatic Facility <br />Utilities Expense. <br />ryl J.
