R-115-01 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE <br />SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 6, <br />2001, DECLARING THE RESULT THEREOF AND SUCH <br />OTHER PROVISIONS OF LAW. <br />Whereas, a Special Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of Colton, <br />California on Tuesday, November 6, 2001, as required by law; and <br />Whereas, notice of the Election was duly given in the time, form and manner as <br />by law; that voting precincts were properly established; that election officers were appointed an( <br />that in all respects the election was held and conducted and the votes were cast, received and <br />canvassed and the returns made and declared in the time, form and manner as required by the <br />provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California for the holding of elections in general <br />law cities; and <br />Whereas, pursuant to Resolution No. Nos. R-14-00 and R-15-00 adopted February 20, <br />2001 the County Registrar of Voters canvassed the returns of the elections and has certified <br />results to this City Council, the results are received, attached and made part of hereof as <br />"A " <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, <br />DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. That the whole number of ballots cast in the City as to the Special <br />Municipal Election for Councilmember/District 5 to be elected to fill the unexpired term of the <br />former incumbent, except absent voter ballots, was 259. <br />That the whole number of absent voter ballots cast in the City was 103 making a total of <br />362 ballots cast in the City. <br />SECTION 2. That the names of persons voted for at the election for <br />Councilmember/District 5 are as follows: <br />JOHN D. MITCHELL <br />ROBERT D. WILSON <br />WILLIAM E. YAHN <br />
