R-122-01 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE FORMATION OF THE LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING DISTRICT NO. 2 AND THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF ASSESSMENTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 200212003 The City Council of the City of Colton, California (hereafter referred to as the Council") does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, The City Council desires to initiate proceedings for the formation the Landscaping and Lighting District No. 2 (hereafter referred to as the "Distric pursuant to the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, Part 2 of Divisir 15 of the Streets and Highways Code of California beginning with Section 225 (hereafter referred to as the "Act"), that provides for the formation of an assessment distr and the levy and collection of assessments by the County of San Bernardino for the City Colton to pay the maintenance and services of landscaping, lighting and all appurtena facilities and operations related thereto; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has retained MuniFinancial for the purpose assisting with the formation of and annual levy of the District and to prepare and file report with the City Clerk in accordance with the Act; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING DISTRICT NO. FOLLOWS: Section 1 Annual Levy Report: The City Council hereby orders MuniFinancial prepare the Engineer's Report concerning the formation and levy assessments for the District in accordance with Chapter 2, Article 1, Sect 22585 (d) of the Act. Section 2 Proposed improvements: The improvements within the District include: operation, maintenance and servicing of landscape improvements al Meridian Avenue, Pepper Avenue, Randall Avenue, Michael D'Arcy L, and Porfirio Lane. The Engineer's Formation and Annual Levy Re describes the improvements. Section 3 Boundaries and Designation: The District consists of all parcels loc south of Randall Avenue and west of the Edison Easement; North of Bernardino Avenue and east of Pepper Avenue, development a known as "Pacific Century Homes — Tract Nos. 14158 and 14159;
