R-124-01 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO FORM THE <br />LANDSCAPE AND LIGHTING DISTRICT NO. 2 AND TO LEVY AND <br />COLLECT ASSESSMENTS AND CALLING A PROPERTY OWNER <br />PROTEST PROCEEDING TO SUBMIT TO THE QUALIFIED PROPERTY <br />OWNERS WITHIN SUCH DISTRICT THE QUESTION OF LEVYING <br />SUCH ASSESSMENTS AND ESTABLISHING AN ASSESSMENT <br />RANGE FORMULA FOR SUCH DISTRICT FOR FISCAL YEAR <br />200212003 <br />The City Council of the City of Colton, California (hereafter referred to as the "( <br />Council") does resolve as follows: <br />WHEREAS, The City Council has, by previous Resolution, initiated proceedir <br />for the formation of the Landscape and Lighting District No. 2 (hereafter referred to <br />the "District") pursuant to the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 19 <br />Part 2 of Division 15 of the Streets and Highways Code of California beginning v <br />Section 22500 (hereafter referred to as the "Act") that provides for the formation of <br />assessment district and the levy and collection of assessments by the County of IC <br />Bernardino for the City of Colton to pay the maintenance and services of <br />improvements and facilities related thereto; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to form the District and levy and coll <br />assessments against lots and parcels of land within the proposed District for the fi: <br />year commencing July 1, 2002 and ending June 30, 2003 to pay the cost and expen <br />of the improvements described in Section 3 of this Resolution; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Engineer selected by the City Council has prepared and <br />with the City Clerk a report in connection with the proposed formation and levy <br />collection of assessments against parcel of land within the District for Fiscal Y <br />2002/2003 in accordance with Chapter 1, Article 4 of the Act, and the Council did <br />previous Resolution approve such report; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED <br />THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE DISTRICT AS FOLLOWS: <br />
