Page 2 of 2 <br />Agenda Report for October 2, 2001 <br />September 24, 2001 <br />project meets the infrastructure component, which requires public or multi -jurisdictional station or use <br />development. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />The funding awards will occur on a first come first serve basis. With regards to Alternative Fuel Refueling <br />infrastructure, the MSRC will match AB 2766 Subvention Funds and/or other local funds in an amount not <br />to exceed fifty percent to the proposed project. With regard to medium and heavy-duty vehicles, the <br />MSRC match will not exceed $10,000 per medium -duty and $20,000 per heavy-duty vehicles. <br />There is a Bonus Match of up to twenty-five percent (25%) available for Alt -Fuel Infrastructure Projects <br />based on an additional percentage for each respective element. The elements include multi -jurisdictional <br />station development, multiple Fleets, infrastructure gap closure and public accessibility with card reader <br />payment plan. During the initial review of the City's project conducted by staff, it was determined there <br />is a potential for the City to attain twenty percent of the Bonus Match. <br />The City's estimated match will not exceed $100,000 funded from Measure I. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There are no environmental impacts associated with the submission of this project. <br />1) Staff recommends that Council accept and adopt the Resolution authorizing and supporting the <br />submission of the Alternative Fuel Site Project to the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Local <br />Government Match Programs for grant funding from the South Coast Air Quality Management <br />District Call for Projects. <br />2) Authorize the City Manager to execute any and all documents necessary for the submission and <br />acceptance of the grant application and subsequent funding and implementation of the project. <br />Attachment: Resolution <br />REVIEW TEAM ONLY <br />City Attorney Finance Director: <br />City Manager OTHER: <br />
