Council members hold regular weekly meetings with their constituents in the neighborhoods. <br />Residents were advised of the preparation of this Element update during these meetings. <br />The revised Housing Element was presented to the Colton Planning Commission on November 14, <br />2000 in the Council Chambers. The City Council reviewed and adopted the document on December <br />5, 2000. Copies of the revised Housing Element were made available prior to these meetings at the <br />Colton Community Development Department, the Colton community centers, and the Colton Public <br />Library. Notices for all meetings were published in the Colton Courier, the Sun Telegram and the <br />Colton City New. <br />Sources of Information <br />The Regional Housing Needs Statement produced by the Southem California Association of <br />Govemments (SCAG) in 1999 provided the majority of the background material for the prepazation <br />of the Housing Element.
