In that capacity we are in receipt <br />of your claim for damages to your clothing when bleach was released into the water <br />system. <br />We have now completed our investigation into your claim by receiving and reviewing <br />the departmental report. On the date of the incident a valve on the chemical feed pump <br />failed and a high concentration of bleach was released into the water system. <br />Unfortunately this malfunction was not one which could have been foreseen by the City <br />employees; they had no notice this valve was about to fail. The City is very conscience <br />about maintenance of their public utilities and inspect the system regularly.
