Hugh Margesson, Childcare Director <br />SUBJECT: Approve and Accept Instruction Materials Grant for City Childcare <br />DATE: November 19, 2002 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />For the past fourteen years Community Childcare has provided latchkey services for <br />school-age children (5-12 years of age). Periodically, the State makes one-time basis <br />funds available in the form of grants for instruction materials to existing facilities. <br />ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION: <br />The fiscal year 2002/03 the Instruction Materials Grant will provide funds for either <br />durable or consumable developmentally appropriate and curriculum -related instructional <br />materials. The grant is in the amount of $2,161. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />There will be no general fund impact.
