1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />171 <br />1 <br />21 <br />26 <br />27 <br />M. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-18-02 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA <br />AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 10.16 OF THE COLTON <br />MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO SOUND VEHICLES AND <br />PARADES. <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 10.16 currently provides parade permit procedures and <br />regulations concerning the use of sound vehicles on streets in the City of Colton; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton amended Title 5, Chapter <br />5.44 of the Colton Municipal Code to provide uniform permit procedures for special events <br />including parades; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council now wishes to amend and repeal certain <br />provisions in Chapter 10.16 to avoid inconsistencies and duplication between Chapter 5.44 <br />and Chapter 10.16. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: Title 10, Chapter 10.16 of the Colton Municipal Code is amended in <br />its entirety to read as follows: <br />"CHAPTER 10.16: SOUND VEHICLES <br />10.16.010 Definitions. <br />10.16.020 Sound Vehicles - Definition exclusions and <br />exceptions. <br />10.16.030 Sound Vehicles - Where prohibited. <br />10.16.040 Penalty for violations. <br />10.16.010. Definitions. <br />A. "Person" as used herein includes the singular and plural and also <br />means and includes any person, firm, corporation, association, club, partnership, society or <br />any other form of association or organization. <br />B. "Sound vehicle" means any vehicle which carries or is equipped with <br />any instrument or device for the production or reproduction of music, spoken words or other <br />sounds, or any loudspeaker or any other sound -amplifying device designed to enlarge the <br />volume of sound produced by any instrument or by the human voice; which instrument or <br />RVPUB\AYC\642777 1 <br />
