Upon approval of the resolutions, staff will notify CaIPERS by August 26, 2003 of our intention to <br />terminate the medical contract, effective January 1, 2004. (Note: the City of Colton will not be able <br />to return to CaIPERS for five years per the CalPERS Board.) <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />This item does not carry any environmental impact. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />There is no cost associated with terminating the CalPERS Health Insurance Program. There may <br />be a minimal cost associated with the retiree portion of the medical insurance.
