CITY OF COLTON FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES (PS -002012203) WITH KWANG COOK AND ASSOCIATES, INC. 1. PARTIES AND DATE. This First Amendment to the Agreement for Architectural Services (PS -002012203) ("Amendment") is made and entered into this 19th day of August, 2003 by and between the City of Colton, a municipal corporation organized under the laws of the State of California with its principal place of business at 650 North La Cadena Drive, Colton, California 92324 ("City") and Kwang Cook and Associates, a corporation with one or more architects licensed to practice in the State of California and with its principal place of business at 6910 Oslo Circle, Suite A-2, Buena Park, California 90621 ("Consultant"). City and Consultant are sometimes individually referred to herein as "Party" and collectively as "Parties." 2. RECITALS. 2.1 Agreement and Services. City and Consultant entered into that certain Agreement for Architectural Services (PS -002012203) dated January 24, 2003 ("Agreement"), whereby Consultant agreed to perform and assume responsibility for the provision of certain professional architectural services required by the City for the City Hall Renovation Project ("Project"). 2.2 Amendment Purpose. City and Consultant now desire to amend the Agreement to increase the amount of total compensation for the Agreement by an additional one hundred thousand fifty-five dollars ($100,055.00) to the new total amount of one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000.00). 2.3 Amendment Authority. This First Amendment is authorized pursuant to Section 3.24 of the Agreement. 3. TERMS. 3.1 Section 3.10.1 of the Agreement is hereby deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following: "3.10.1. Architect's Compensation for Basic Services. City shall pay to Architect, for the performance of all Services rendered under this Agreement, the total amount of ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($150,000.00) ("Total Compensation").
