cost of the proposed layout of the renovation of the City Hall is estimated at $1,820,000. Kwang <br />Cook and Associates is requesting an additional amount of $100,055 to the original contract, <br />bringing the total of Architectural Design contract to $150,000 (8.2% of the total cost). <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />The project is Exempt from environmental review under California Environmental Quality Act <br />(CEQA) Section 15301 (1) (demolition of small structures) and Section 15303 (new construction of <br />small structures). <br />CONFLICT OF INTEREST <br />Exact Business Name: Kwang Cook and Associates <br />President or equal: Kwang Cook <br />Contact or representative: Kwang Cook <br />FINANCIALMSCAL IMPACT <br />There are adequate unspent funds available in the General Fund Capital Improvement Program <br />(CIP) reserve account to cover the Amendment No. 1 of the architectural design costs of $100,055. <br />Some CIP projects, previously approved by the City Council resulted in budgetary savings upon <br />completion. No previously approved projects are being eliminated, scaled-back, or delayed as a <br />result of this design work. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Staff respectfully recommends that Council: <br />1. Approve Amendment #1 for Architectural Design Contract of Kwang Cook and <br />Associates in the amount of $100,055. <br />2.
