ConAgrraFoo&'
July 1, 2003
To Whom It May concern:
ConAgra Food Ingredients Company
Grain Processing Group
2020 E. Steel Road
Colton, CA 92324
TEL: (909) 825-7630
FAX: (909) 825-7157
ConAgra Foods is a neighbor of Colton Disposal on Steel Road. Since Colton Disposal purchased the
land and built their facility near us, they have remained a good neighbor.
We understand that Colton Disposal's current project will allow then to add mixed municipal solid waste to
their already -approved waste system of 1950 tons per day of recyclable material. This additional material
per Colton Disposal will be predominantly in the form of grass clippings, gardening refuse, household
trash and demolition material. Some additional material processing will also be handled under roof and
have minimal impact to the existing neighbors in regards to odors, debris, etc. We are also of the
understanding that their project represents no increase in truck traffic over what was previously approved
to handle the maximum tonnage.
Based on our observations of Colton Disposal and our understanding of the proposed project, we support
Colton Disposal's efforts. We feel confident that Colton Disposal will act responsibly in the handling of
recyclables and are sensitive to their neighbor's expectations.
Respectfull Submitted,
Robert G. Gusman
ConAgra Foods, Inc.
Plant Manager
SpiceTec-USF • Gilroy Foods • ConAgra Grain Processing
