R-10-03 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA, AFFORDING COMPENSATION <br />AND SUPPLEMENTAL COMPENSATION TO THE CITY <br />CLERK AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. R-68-00 <br />WHEREAS, City Ordinance No. 1572 fixes the salary for the City Clerk at $370 per month, <br />and authorizes the City Council to provide, by resolution, supplemental compensation for additional <br />responsibilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the present City Clerk, Carolina P. Barrera, performs comprehensive ministerial <br />services and, in addition, City Clerk Barrera is responsible for the records management operation and <br />the Passport Acceptance Facility, for the City <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: Supplemental salary for City Clerk, Carolina P. Barrera, shall be fixed at five <br />thousand, one hundred seventy-one dollars ($5,171) per month, which sum includes the City Clerk <br />stipend and the vehicle allowance, effective January 1, 2002. <br />SECTION 2: Supplemental salary for the City Clerk is specifically allocated in compensation <br />for the records management and the Passport Acceptance Facility; should the City Clerk cease to <br />perform such services, the City may choose to reduce or delete the City Clerk's supplemental salary. <br />SECTION 3: The supplemental compensation is specifically authorized for the performance <br />of City Clerk Carolina P. Barrera. Supplemental compensation shall not be provided to subsequent <br />City Clerks, unless so authorized by the City Council. <br />1 <br />
