In that capacity we are in receipt <br />Of your claim for tree roots causing problems in your lateral line. <br />We have now completed our investigation into your claim by receiving and reviewing <br />s <br />the departmental report. The City of Colton was not notified of your problem when it <br />occurred; they were also not present when the line was inspected by the plumber you <br />called which would be necessary in order to determine liability. As the City was not <br />placed on notice of the problem nor involved in any of the necessary inspection/repairs, <br />they cannot be held legally liable for the associated costs. <br />With the above in mind, we have recommended denial of your claim.
