CITY OF COLTON <br />RECEIVED <br />MAY U 6 2003 <br />OFFICE OF <br />THE CITY CLERK <br />INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM <br />Office of the City Manager <br />To: Carol Barrera, City Clerk <br />From: Daryl Parrish, City Manager <�� <br />Subject: Chamber Relocation MOU <br />Date: May 6, 2003 <br />M <br />On March 18, 2003 a closed session item was agendized regarding an MOU with <br />the Colton Chamber of Commerce for their relocation from City Hall. City <br />Council direction to staff was to immediately release the $10,000 (due to them <br />on January 31, 2003) and release the next $10,000 on April 30, 2003, pending <br />Chamber signature on the MOU document. Terms of the MOU were to include <br />deeding the property to them at 655 North La Cadena (Engineering portion of the <br />building(s) only — not Community Development portion), Chamber vacation of <br />their existing space at City Hall, a provision to lease back space to the <br />Engineering Department, if needed, not to exceed $2,000 per month, bringing <br />the building up to code by the City (including ADA requirements at a City hard <br />cost not to exceed $25,000, and other reasonable measures to effectuate their <br />relocation to 655 North La Cadena. It was also made clear that the City <br />Manager was authorized to sign the MOU, subject to the aforementioned key <br />provisions, and the MOU/agreement did not require further council action unless <br />material changes were proposed by the Chamber. <br />�OmemomY ('S <br />6ISz1kOS0kW'-.-1 VOOL <br />vQaA �t-�©JAt . �& <br />
