housing set-aside funds either inside or outside of the Project Area will be of benefit to the
Project Area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED 13Y
THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR THE CITY OF COLTON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Agency hereby finds and determines that Section 321 of the
Redevelopment Plan does not authorize the Agency to acquire any residential occupied
property in the Project Area by exercise of eminent domain, and the Agency further finds and
determines that the activities contemplated under the Redevelopment Plan, and in particular
the public improvement projects authorized under Section 343 of the Redevelopment Plan, are
not anticipated to result in the displacement of a significant number of residents, families or
households from the Project Area. Accordingly, the City Council has not called upon the
residents of the Project Area to form a project area committee in connection with the
consideration and adoption of the Redevelopment Plan.
SECTION 2. The Agency hereby finds and declares that the use of taxes allocated
from the Project Area for the purpose of preserving, improving and increasing the supply of
low- and moderate -income housing available at affordable housing cost to persons,
households and families of low- and moderate -income and very low income either inside or
outside of the Project Area will be of benefit to the La Cadena Redevelopment Project and the
Project Area. The Agency respectfully requests that the City Council concur with this finding.
1821-9895-5008.1 2
