I <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-29-03 <br />2 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />3 <br />STATE <br />OF CALIFORNIA, RE -ADOPTING 1996 THROUGH 2002 <br />4 <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN <br />5 <br />WHEREAS, San Bernardino County voters approved passage of <br />6 <br />Measure I in November 1989 authorizing San Bernardino Associated <br />7 <br />Governments, acting as the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority, <br />8 <br />9 <br />to impose a one-half of one percent retail transactions and use tax applicable <br />10 <br />in the incorporated and unincorporated territory of the County of San <br />I I <br />Bernardino; and <br />12 <br />WHEREAS, revenue from the tax can only be used for transportation <br />13 <br />improvement and traffic management programs authorized in the Expenditure <br />14 <br />Plans set forth in Ordinance No.89-1 of the Authority; and <br />15 <br />WHEREAS, Expenditure Plans of the Ordinance require each local <br />16 <br />jurisdiction receiving revenue from the tax to expend those funds pursuant to a <br />17 <br />Five -Year Capital Improvement Program and a Twenty -Year Transportation <br />18 <br />Plan adopted by resolution of the local jurisdiction; and <br />19 <br />WHEREAS, Expenditure Plans of the Ordinance also require that each <br />20 <br />21 <br />local jurisdiction annually adopt and update the Five and Twenty -Year Plans; <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the <br />27 <br />City of Colton, State of California, hereby re -adopts 1996 through 2002 <br />28 <br />I <br />
