R-95-03 <br />2 <br />3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />4 COLTON, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY <br />FORMATION COMMISSION TO TAKE PROCEEDINGS FOR <br />5 REORGANIZATION TO INCLUDE ANNEXATION OF <br />6 PROPERTY GENERALLY IDENTIFIED AS ANNEXATION <br />7 AREA NO. 51 GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE EAST AND <br />WEST SIDE OF RECHE CANYON ROAD, IMMEDIATELY <br />8 NORTH OF THE SAN BERNARDINO/RIVERSIDE COUNTY <br />9 LINE <br />10 <br />I I VMEREAS, the City of Colton desires to initiate proceedings pursuant to the <br />12 Cortese -Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, as amended, commencing <br />13 with Section 56000 of the California Government Code, for the annexation of property <br />described in Exhibit "A" of this Resolution which is attached to the Resolution as though set <br />14 forth fully herein; and <br />15 <br />16 VMEREAS, notice of intent to adopt this resolution of application has been <br />given to each interested and each subject agency; and <br />17 <br />18 VMEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed consists of 25 parcels <br />19 totaling approximately 57.2 acres located within the City of Colton's sphere of influence; <br />and <br />20 <br />21 WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed has been pre -zoned to be <br />22 consistent with the City of Colton General Plan as follows: <br />23 Subarea 1: SP (Specific Plan) <br />24 Subarea 2: SP (Specific Plan) <br />25 <br />26 VMEREAS, the reasons for the proposed annexation are to provide more <br />logical service boundaries and services. <br />27 <br />28 BE IT NOW THEREFORE RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: Adoption of Resolution of Application.
