R-141-04 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON APPROVING A SALARY INCREASE FOR THE <br />RECREATION SPECIALIST POSITION IN THE COMMUNITY <br />SERVICES DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton has determined that the City's current <br />rate of compensation for the position of Recreation Specialist in the <br />Community Services Department is lower than the prevailing rates paid by <br />other cities for the same position; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need to competitively <br />compensate employees in order to ensure the stability of City programs and <br />services; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the compensation range <br />for the position of Recreation Specialist by establishing a new salary range <br />which is competitive with prevailing rates paid by other cities. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF COLTON: <br />SECTION 1.
