1 The finance director shall make a charge in an amount to be 2 determined by resolution of the city council for each duplicate license issued to replace any license issued under the provisions of Section 7.08.010 3 through 7.08.150 which has been lost or destroyed." 4 SECTION 2: Section 7.08.030 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby 5 deleted in its entirety and amended to read as follows: 6 7 "Every dog within the city found for which a license shall not have been issued, as provided herein which shall not bear a tag as herein 8 provided, shall be impounded by the animal control officer for a period of 9 seventy-two hours, and in the event the owner or possessor of such dog shall not, on or before the expiration of such period call for and claim such 10 dog and pay the license fee therefor and obtain a tag therefor and pay a fee in an amount to be determined by resolution of the city council, the said dog 11 shall be disposed of by the animal control officer." 12 SECTION 3: Section 7.08.040 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby 13 deleted in its entirety and amended to read as follows: 14 "Every dog, cat or similar type animal, regardless of whether or not it 15 has a license, found running at large, loose or unrestrained in, along, or upon any public street, sidewalk or place shall be impounded by the animal control 16 officer for a period of seventy-two hours. In the event the owner or 17 possessor of such dog, cat or similar type animal does not, on or before the expiration of such period, call for and claim such dog, cat or similar type 18 animal and pay a pound fee in an amount to be determined by resolution of the city council, the said dog, cat, or similar type animal shall be disposed of 19 by the animal control officer, provided, however, that should any dog, cat or 2 o similar type animal so impounded bear a proper tag as herein provided or other type of identification for contacting the animal's owner, the animal 21 control officer shall forward notice by mail postpaid to the person named as owner at the address given in the city records at least seventy-two hours 22 before disposing of the dog, cat or similar type animal." 23 SECTION 4: Section 7.08.050 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby 24 deleted in its entirety and amended to read as follows: 25 "Every person owning or harboring or having charge, custody, control 26 or possession of any dog, cat, or similar type animal shall not permit such animal to run loose or unrestrained in, along or upon any public street, sidewalk or place." 27 28 SECTION 5: Section 7.08.060 of the Colton Municipal Code is hereby deleted in its entirety and amended to read as follows: 2
