Due to the staffing levels of the Agency, it was not in a position to complete the projects and therefore was in jeopardy of losing the funds for the intended purpose. On June 4, 2002, Amendment No. 1 to the CMA was approved, deleting project number iii. Hunts Lane due to SANBAG's proposal to construct a railroad grade separation at Hunts Lane and to extend the timeline in which the City had to finalize construction of the improvements. To -date, all of the projects identified in the CMA have been completed (with the exception of the Washington Street Median and Landscaping) and funded either with the bond proceeds or through other funding sources that became available to the City: SAR traffic signal and the Reche Canyon Traffic signal were constructed with Traffic Congestion Relief Funds.
