1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 Item # ORDINANCE NO. 0-30-04 AN ORDINANCE OF THE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO REDESIGNATE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1600 AGUA MANSA FROM AGRICULTURAL/OPEN SPACE/EQUESTRIAN TO MEDIUM INDUSTRIAL: FILE INDEX NUMBER DAP -000-281 WHEREAS, the City of Colton Planning Commission (the "Planning Commission") held a public hearing on September 14, 2004 concerning amendments to the Agua Mansa Industrial Corridor Specific Plan ("Specific Plan") to redesignate property located at 1600 Agua Mansa Road (south of the 1-10 Freeway and east of Riverside Avenue) from "Agricultural/Open Space/Equestrian" to "Medium Industrial" ("Application") after giving published notice of the proposed Application; and WHEREAS, at the conclusion of the hearing on September 14, 2004, the Planning Commission, by a vote of 6 to 1 recommended approval of the Application to the City Council of the City of Colton; and WHEREAS, on October 5, 2004, the City Council of the City of Colton ("City Council") conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the Application at which time all persons wishing to testify in connection with the Application were heard, the Planning Commission's recommendation was considered and the Application was comprehensively reviewed; and occurred. WHEREAS, all other legal prerequisites to the adoption of this Ordinance have THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Based on the entire record before the City Council, all written and oral evidence presented, and the findings made in this Ordinance, the City Council hereby approves an amendment to the Land Use Plan Map (Figure 20) for the Agua Mansa Industrial Corridor Specific Plan to redesignate property located at 1600 Agua Mansa Road from "Agricultural/Open Space/Equestrian" to "Medium Industrial" as shown on the attached Exhibit "A." SECTION 2. Based on the entire record before the City Council, including all written and oral evidence presented, the City Council finds that the proposed amendments to the Specific Plan are consistent with the General Plan of the City of Colton ("General Plan") and the Agua Mansa Industrial Corridor Specific Plan and are not contrary to the goals and objectives of the General Plan and Specific Plan for the following reasons: A.
