1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />Item # <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-30-04 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON TO REDESIGNATE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1600 <br />AGUA MANSA FROM AGRICULTURAL/OPEN <br />SPACE/EQUESTRIAN TO MEDIUM INDUSTRIAL: FILE INDEX <br />NUMBER DAP -000-281 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton Planning Commission (the "Planning Commission") <br />held a public hearing on September 14, 2004 concerning amendments to the Agua Mansa Industrial <br />Corridor Specific Plan ("Specific Plan") to redesignate property located at 1600 Agua Mansa Road <br />(south of the 1-10 Freeway and east of Riverside Avenue) from "Agricultural/Open Space/Equestrian" <br />to "Medium Industrial" ("Application") after giving published notice of the proposed Application; and <br />WHEREAS, at the conclusion of the hearing on September 14, 2004, the Planning <br />Commission, by a vote of 6 to 1 recommended approval of the Application to the City Council of the <br />City of Colton; and <br />WHEREAS, on October 5, 2004, the City Council of the City of Colton ("City Council") <br />conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the Application at which time all persons wishing to testify <br />in connection with the Application were heard, the Planning Commission's recommendation was <br />considered and the Application was comprehensively reviewed; and <br />occurred. <br />WHEREAS, all other legal prerequisites to the adoption of this Ordinance have <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Based on the entire record before the City Council, all written and oral <br />evidence presented, and the findings made in this Ordinance, the City Council hereby approves an <br />amendment to the Land Use Plan Map (Figure 20) for the Agua Mansa Industrial Corridor Specific <br />Plan to redesignate property located at 1600 Agua Mansa Road from "Agricultural/Open <br />Space/Equestrian" to "Medium Industrial" as shown on the attached Exhibit "A." <br />SECTION 2. Based on the entire record before the City Council, including all written <br />and oral evidence presented, the City Council finds that the proposed amendments to the Specific <br />Plan are consistent with the General Plan of the City of Colton ("General Plan") and the Agua Mansa <br />Industrial Corridor Specific Plan and are not contrary to the goals and objectives of the General Plan <br />and Specific Plan for the following reasons: <br />A. The Specific Plan Amendment promotes an appropriate distribution, location, <br />and extent of land uses because it provides for additional industrial uses in an area where <br />- 1 - <br />
