A <br />change from the alignment will be required at the approach to Rialto Channel so the road can be <br />aligned with the existing channel crossing. <br />Road width, within a 90 -foot right-of-way, will be 78 feet, curb to curb, consisting of four 12 - <br />foot lanes, a 14 -foot median, and two, 8 -foot shoulders. You have indicated that raised medians <br />should be utilized at the approach to Riverside Avenue and perhaps at the RIX Plant in order to <br />better control left -turn movements.. It is my understanding that no right-of-way acquisition <br />document efforts are to be included in this proposal. <br />Scope of work will also include conduct of environmental services required for the project. The <br />easterly portion of the project includes Delhi Sands Flower -Loving Fly habitat. <br />Existing street is two-lane, serving an industrial area within both the Cities of Colton and Rialto. <br />Curb and gutter exists along large portions of the southerly side and there are several <br />intersections. Drainage will be routed for the most part to intersecting streets to dewater Agua <br />Mansa Road. <br />PROJECT APPROACH <br />Proposed project approach and generalized overview of conduct of our design services will <br />include the following efforts. <br />► Conduct a kick-off meeting with the City to discuss and review objectives and <br />priorities and to obtain City information. <br />► Research and obtain utility records. <br />► Coordinate conduct of an investigation by the City's geotechnical consultant <br />concerning recommended pavement section. <br />► Conduct survey and mapping by field and aerial photogrammetric means. <br />► Prepare plans of existing street, right-of-way, and adjacent improvements at a <br />scale of 1 " = 40', or 1 " = 20', where required. <br />► Prepare cross-sections for use in final design. <br />
