Our
Association represents over 1,200 teachers and support personnel in the
Colton Joint Unified School District.
The purpose of the presentation is to share information with the community
regarding the Governor's Budget proposals, with specific emphasis on how
it impacts the community, students and educators. The presentation will
address areas of concern including the Proposition 98 guarantee for
funding, Public Employees' Pensions and Merit Pay. Information regarding
local coalitions and their efforts will also be shared.
As mentioned, the objective of the presentation is to inform and educate,
while addressing how it relates to us all, and also how we can protect our
students and public education.
I look forward to hearing from -vou in regard to this request to make a
presentation to the Colton City Council.
Si c rely,
Ken Joh on
President
KJ/jeh
