The available funding for construction of the project is $8.1 million which is insufficient to <br />construct the project with the four (4) bid alternates. Bid alternates include the construction of the <br />administration building, maintenance building, batting cage, and concession/restaurant building. A <br />separate agenda report for tonight's meeting will include a recommendation for funding the project <br />at the Engineer's estimated cost of $9.5 million, but staff does not believe it is possible to come up <br />with funding for the $11,461,406 low bid amount.
