The applicant proposes to construct a second single-family <br />residential dwelling unit on a single lot near the downtown area of Colton. The proposed second <br />dwelling unit will be designed as a single story structure, with composition roof shingles, and painted <br />light -brown with white trim and darker brown wainscoat along the bottom of the residence. Presently, <br />a 946 square foot single-family residence and 441 square foot detached two -car garage are located <br />within the project site. The applicant proposes demolishing the existing two -car detached garage and <br />constructing another detached 1,532 square foot single-family residence with attached four car <br />garage. The existing single-family residence will remain. <br />
