RESOLUTION NO. 4139 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO CONSIDER MEMORANDUMS OF UNDERSTANDING FOR MEMBERS OF THE COLTON POLICE ASSOCIATION AND MEMBERS OF THE SAN BERNARDINO PUBLIC EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION OF THE CITY OF COLTON, EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 1981, RESOLUTION NO. 4140 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AFFORDING BENEFITS TO MANAGEMENT AND CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES TO THE CITY OF COLTON. Salaries/Wages Res. No. 4141 City Manager Trevino recommended approval of Resolution No. 4141, establishing a pay and classification plan for the employees of the City of Colton, effec- tive July 1, 1981, and July 1, 1982. Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Resolution No. 4141. Unanimous vote. RESOLUTION NO. 4141 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON ESTAB- LISHING A PAY AND CLASSIFICATION PLAN FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF Q THE CITY OF COLTON EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 1981 AND JULY 1, 1982. Professional Organizations Colton Women's Club Mr. Trevino gave a progress report on the purchase of an official tree for the City of Colton, donated by the Colton Women's Club. Mr. Trevino said it is recommended that Staff be instructed to purchase a Carrotwood species, which will become the official tree for the City of Colton, for approximate- ly $35.00, to be located in the City Hall complex area which will be remodeled for parking on "D" Street. Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Staff's recom- mendation with regard to purchase and planting of Official Tree for the City of Colton. Unanimous vote. Sewers Mr. Trevino referred to a memorandum from Director of Building & Safety John Twiss, concerning unused sewer connections, approximately 53, left over from prior allo- cations, and the Council may wish to allocate these sewer connections to addition- al residential units. Mr. Trevino concluded that if Council concurs, Staff recommends that ten connections be allocated to Category #4 for use, to be specifically granted at the discretion of the City Manager. Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Staff's recom- mendation with regard to allocation of unused sewer connections. Unanimous vote. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Agreements Griffin Wheel Co. City Attorney Edwards referred to a proposed agreement between the City of Colton and Griffin Wheel Company, which provides for the City to assume responsibility for damages arising from being on Griffin Wheel Company property or connected with work done by City forces. Mr. Edwards stated that Staff recommends the City Council authorize the signing of the agreement. Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve and authorize executing Agreement between City of Colton and Griffin Wheel Company as outlined by Staff.
