12 Claims <br />Mario Castorena versus City of Colton. Recommend denial. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve the Consent <br />Calendar. Motion carried, with Councilman Rehrer voting NO. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Proclamation <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a Proclamation honoring February as American Heart <br />Month, and presented the Proclamation to a member of the Heart Association in <br />Colton. <br />Resolution of Appreciation <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a Resolution of Appreciation received from the American <br />Public Works Association commending the City of Colton for the services provided to <br />the public during the flooding problems encountered in the 1979-80 Winter season. <br />Agreements <br />Mayor Gonzales referred to an Agreement between the City of Colton and Robert <br />Trevino relating to a two-year contract with the City as City Manager. Mayor <br />Gonzales read the document in full, and requested that each Council Member study <br />the Agreement, and that this matter be acted upon at the next regular Council <br />Meeting. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Personnel <br />Res. No. 4072 <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Personnel Officer Trevino submitted the Affidavit of Posting. <br />Acting Director of Finance Ruby Andengaard reported that she and Electric Utility <br />Director Gale Drews feel the continuation of the position of Inventory Clerk <br />Trainee, which expired on January 21, 1981, and had been filled by a CETA par- <br />ticipant, is needed and are requesting the job description and salary rate of <br />$3.57 per hour be approved by the Council for a temporary appointment until June <br />30, 1981, as outlined in Resolution No. 4072. <br />Mrs. Andengaard continued that this can be accomplished by decreasing the Electric <br />Utility Permanent Salaries Account #20-5001-01 in the amount of $2,914, and by in- <br />creasing the General Services Part -Time Salaries Account #01-1304-02 in the amount <br />of $2,914. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to terminate the Public <br />Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve Resolu- <br />tion No. 4072. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4072 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CONTINU- <br />ING THE POSITION OF INVENTORY CLERK TRAINEE AND FIXING ITS <br />SALARY RATE. <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Professional Organizations <br />La Placita de Agua Mansa Restoration Association <br />Mrs. Bea Hernandez, representing the La Placita de Agua Mansa Restoration Associa- <br />tion, inquired from the City Council with regard to an allocation of funds, in the <br />amount of $10,000, assigned to the Agua Mansa Restoration Project for planning and <br />design, under the Housing and Community Development Block Grant, which was approved <br />by the City Council in 1978 by Resolution No. 3879, and later approved by the <br />County Board of Supervisors. Mrs. Hernandez stated the Association understands <br />that funds were received in June of this year, and they would like to know when an <br />allocation will be made to the Association for their project. <br />FEB 3 1981 <br />
