RESOLUTION NO <br />4133 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />DETERMINING THE AMOUNT OF PROPERTY TAX REVENUES TO BE <br />EXCHANGED BETWEEN THE CITY OF RIALTO RESULTING FROM THE <br />JURISDICTIONAL CHANGE DESCRIBED BY LAFC NO. 2112. <br />Fees <br />Returned Checks <br />City Manager reported staff has reviewed various charges to see if the City is <br />keeping pace with the private sector and one area that is of concern is that of <br />returned checks. Mr. Trevino said the current $3.00 fee was adopted by the <br />Council in 1968 and staff recommends adoption of a resolution setting the fee <br />of returned checks at $5.00 to cover expenses. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Resolution <br />No. 4134. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4134 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING FEE FOR RETURNED CHECKS AND <br />REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2929. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to pass second <br />reading and adopt Ordinance No. 1603. Unanimous vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1603 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 964, AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN ZONE <br />RECLASSIFICATIONS. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Mr. William Fields, 22235 Cahuilla, addressed the Council with regards to the <br />taste of the water. Mr. Fields was concerned about the health safety of the <br />drinking water. <br />City Manager Trevino responded the City's drinking water is regularly tested and <br />that the water had just failed to meet one of the many tests it is put through. <br />Mr. Trevino said the problem was very minor, however, before the City can proceed <br />to correct it a Public Notice must be given and thus the article in the newspaper. <br />Mr. Fields said he has been purchasing bottled water because their water is just <br />not drinkable. <br />Mr. Trevino reassured Mr. Fields that his water would be checked. <br />GLOSSED SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Close Session on Personnel Matters at 8:20 p. m. <br />The City Council reconvened at 8:37 p.m., all members present. <br />Personnel <br />Leave of Absence <br />City Attorney Edwards announced the City Council in Closed Session, considered <br />and has denied the Leave of Absence requests of Donni Teague and Wanda Hess. <br />City Attorney Edwards introduced Resolution No. 4135, to Determine the Disability <br />for Retirement of a Local Safety Member, Ira L. Unanimous vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />1601 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1579 <br />AND DELETING <br />FROM AND ADDING TO THE UNIFORM BUILDING <br />CODE. <br />Ordinance No. <br />1603 <br />^ <br />City Attorney <br />Edwards submitted Ordinance NO. 1603 for second <br />reading, reading it <br />as to number <br />and title only and reporting the subject matter <br />as the zone change <br />for Kencor. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to pass second <br />reading and adopt Ordinance No. 1603.
