Upon Roll Call, the Vote was: <br />AYES: Four; Hayes, <br />NOES: One; Rehrer. <br />ABSENT: None. <br />Motion carried. <br />Personnel <br />General Clerk <br />Cisneros, Garcia, Gonzales. <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Personnel Officer submitted the Affidavit of Posting. <br />Mr. Trevino read from his report regarding the creation of the position of General <br />Clerk, which would be temporary, or part-time, and would be paid an hourly rate <br />with no fringe or supplementary benefits available. Mr. Trevino advised that very <br />often the City has serious problems finding qualified people who are available for <br />employment for short periods of time, and therefore, this position is needed. <br />Mr. Trevino concluded the Council Members have copies of the required documentation <br />dealing with this position. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Mayor Gonzales, the Public Hearing was <br />terminated. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia. to approve Resolution <br />No. 4116. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO <br />4116 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON FIX- <br />ING THE COMPENSATION FOR PART-TIME, HOURLY EMPLOYEES AND <br />PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF MINIMUM WAGES, AND AMENDING <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4113. <br />Zoning <br />Ord. No. 1602 <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no objec- <br />tions or protests had been received. <br />Mr. Joseph Fazio, Planning Consultant, advised that the proposed Zoning Ordinance <br />is basically the same ordinance reviewed by the City Council at a previous Study <br />Session, with a few minor changes that were added by the Planning Commission at <br />their meeting held May 12, 1981. Mr. Fazio stated that the Planning Commission <br />has approved the proposed zoning ordinance, and recommends to the City Council <br />adoption of this Ordinance. Mr. Fazio said there is a state requirement that the <br />text of a zoning ordinance is not in conflict with a general plan, and this re- <br />quirement has also been met with the City's proposed ordinance. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, the Public Hearing was <br />terminated. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to pass First Reading <br />and waive further reading of Ordinance No. 1602.
