Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Recreation and Parks Commission <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, ratifying appointment <br />of Ron Cabrera and Joe Acosta and reappointment of Art Porter, Sheila Rios, and <br />John Cervantes to the Recreation and Parks Commission. Unanimous vote. <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Special Assessments <br />City Attorney Edwards reviewed a memorandum from City Treasurer Margaret Berkebile <br />regarding assessment district recommendations, stating that this item was for the <br />Council's information. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Conditional Use Permits <br />P. C. Res. No. 984 <br />Planning Director Aguilera reported on a Conditional Use Permit application re- <br />quested by Richard Carstensen to divide approximately 4.77 acres of vacant land <br />for development of sixty condominium units on property located approximately 700 <br />feet south of San Bernardino Avenue on the east side of Pepper Avenue in an R -3- <br />X zone. <br />Mr. Aguilera continued that the project is consistent with the General Plan and <br />zoning regulations, and will be compatible with the surrounding uses. Mr. Aguilera <br />advised that the Planning Commission recommended approval of the Conditional Use <br />Permit application, at a public hearing held February 24, 1981, subject to findings <br />and 11 conditions as listed in Planning Commission Resolution No. 984. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve Planning <br />Commission Resolution No. 984 together with findings and 11 conditions as listed <br />therein. Unanimous vote. <br />Conditional Use Permit <br />P. C. Res. No. 985 <br />Mr. Aguilera reviewed his memorandum regarding a Conditional Use Permit application <br />requested by Woodfield Development to construct 217 condominium units on approxi- <br />mately 20 acres of vacant land located between Pepper and Meridian Avenues, south <br />of San Bernardino Avenue in an R -3-X zone. <br />Mr. Aguilera stated the density of this area is approximately 10.9 units per acre, <br />and the proposed project will be compatible with surrounding uses and zoning re- <br />quirements. Mr. Aguilera said the Planning Commission, at a public hearing held <br />February 24, 1981, recommended approval of the Conditional Use Permit application <br />subject to findings and 11 conditions, as outlined in Planning Commission Resolu- <br />tion No. 985. <br />MAR 3 1981 <br />
